My family and I decided to celebrate my nephew's birthday here. My family has been to Fogo de Chao before, but this was my first time, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. First, the service. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and attentive. He was spot on with serving our whole table and even offered us free desserts because it was my nephew's birthday. 5 out of 5 for service. Second, the food here is so delicious! The way it went was that servers would walk around with meat on a stick and ask if you would like some. They also had an island with sides and fruits. Each time a server walked up to us with a new type of food, I said yes to try it, and I liked all of them! The place itself is huge and very modern. They had some designs to bring the Brazilian culture to the place. Overall, I'm glad I went to this place and got to try it out because I will definitely be coming back or trying out a different location near me in the Bay Area!

We came for lunch at about 1:15pm. We beat the lunch rush! So we were seated quickly. It's quiet and dark inside but that's the setting at this Fogo de Chao. The Pasadena location is much more bright, probably because it used to be BJs. We order the Gaucho lunch ($18) with Bottom Sirloin (+$10). The server serving the meat was very nice. The person in the front (greeting) was kinda blah. She didn't look too happy. The food was good but not good. Does that make sense? I got a tomato soup which was delightful. Then I wanted a mix green salad which was not that great because it was wilted. You can't really tell until you're in the light. BACON! My mouth just drools for this. They had a chicken salad that was also very good. I would back for both of these. The down side is there were gnats everywhere. It wasn't like a swarm. Just like a few here and there but when you eat at a place like Fogo de Chao you don't expect gnats flying anywhere. The salad nat had about 5-8 and we were swatting a few away while eating. I understand that it's inevitable but it was off putting. Overall my plate was full as wasy belly, we had a nice time and will return again. I just hope the gnats are gone by then.
